The organosilicon monomers in our country are mainly used to synthesize silicon oil, silicon rubber, silicon resin, silicane couplers and etc. The detailed consumption structure of silicon monomers of 2002 China is listed as below.

These years, though the industry of organosilicon monomer in our country is developing very fast, the swiftly growing market demand is still unsatisfied and the major supply-need gap has to be offset by pure import. This import tendency was impetuously growing though there occurred a few poly-siloxane (the organosilicon monomer intermediate) export during 1993 and 2002, which was less than 10% the amount of import. Though slowly, the export was gradually increased with the average annual rate up to 46% from 1993 to 2002. With the organosilicon monomer output aggrandized in the country, more poly-siloxane would be exported.
