The synthesis of methylchlorosilane
in China, firstly exploited in 1950s¡¯, has undergone a long-period
national-wide technology researching in the 8th Five-Year Plan
and realized a big-step in the synthetic technology and catalyzer
research. The Chengguang Research Institute of Chemical Industry,
China National Blue Star Co., and the Research Institute of Jilin
Chemical Company have perfected the technologies on partial cells
and improved core equipment performance, which resulted that
the manufacturing technology is now becoming matured and the
current 50,000-ton annual output is approaching the world top
levels in methylchlorosilane manufacturing. The testing recently
on the annual 50,000-ton methylchlorosilane production equipments
in the Jilin Chemical Calcium Carbide Plant & Xinhuo Chemical Factory indicated
that all multiple technical indexes have reached foreign advanced
criteria and proved it to be a matured technology.
The raw materials required in this project are silicon bricks,
methanol and hydrochloric acid. The methyl chloride, firstly formed
by compounding methanol and hydrochloric acid, will act with silicon
under catalysis to synthesize methylchlorosilane; then after the
hydrolysis & the pyrolysis of methylchlorosilane, the siloxane
can be formed. The core in this technology process is the catalyst
synthesis and the fluidized bed reactor.
Some special technical points:
Selectivity: In this project, our adoption of the newly-developed
catalyst and national advanced technologies has realized the
synthesized selectivity of methylchlorosilane at 85 to 90%,
which already exceeded the foreign advanced levels, compared
to their criterion of 80 to 90%; it also succeeded in production
balance with small fluctuation range in selectivity.
The liquidation bed reactor used in this project is the
large-model developed by Chengguang Research Institute of
Chemical Industry and Research Institute of Jilin Chemical
Company, which can realize the successive production together
with residue clearance & recycling;
all its performance indexes like equipment capacity have
ranked the top domestically and reached overseas advanced
standards.
The product quality in this project meets the QC export criteria
and its specifications can be re-modified under individual
customer¡¯s requirements to supply multiple sizes of organosilicon
monomers.
The technology employed in the Project is developed out by the
Chengguang Research Institute of Chemical Industry and the Research
Institute of Jilin Chemical Company.
